Great show.
Even if you guys spent a good chunk of it displaying that you have terrible taste in non-wrestling things.
The Beatles and Star Wars are the best.
Also: George Harrison didn’t write All Things Must Pass after The Beatles, he wrote it during. It was all the songs he wrote that John and Paul didn’t like for Beatles albums. I don’t know if that means anything to the show titles, it probably doesn’t, just saying.
Also it is really strange that there’s nothing announced and no tickets on sale for the post iPPV shows.

They would’ve had to have set up that any time Eddie Kingston gets in trouble, he mentions his father, Tywin Kingston, and the untold wealth of the Kingstons of Yonkersly Rock.
If, as you suggest, the Gekido were merely a distraction from the greater evil, it worked. Quackenbush has focused entirely on taking down the Gekido, and been violent enough in doing so to alienate his tag partner Jigsaw.
His reasoning for the violence? He no longer has to maintain a good image, as Eddie Kingston replaced him as the face of Chikara. So while Quack was focused on the fake threat of the Gekido, Chikara’s defence has fallen to Kingston, a man who recently missed a show due to injuring his hand drunkenly punching a mirror. The Gekido distraction has been a double win for Archibald Peck (If he is indeed the one behind it), Quack is completely focused on fighting a false threat, and the not exactly stable Kingston is the face of Chikara. Now Kingston is a fearsome protector, but he has become erratic recently, and now claims to have KILLED Archibald Peck! I’m not so sure the roster would rally behind him if a defence had to be mounted.
On that count, just what is going on with Eddie Kingston? Did he actually kill Archibald Peck? Did he want to kill him? And why – homicidal rage or does he know something about Peck? Now, I’m not so sure about this, because it doesn’t really fit in with the Watchmen theme, but perhaps that’s what Archibald Peck found out in the future? If he found a sports almanac with Chikara results, surely it would have mentioned a competitor dying in the ring? Perhaps he provoked Kingston into Backfisting him during the loser leaves town match in the knowledge that any future backfist would send him to finish that match, giving him the chance to go on his vision quest, and gain the strength to survive Kingston’s attack at the end of the Grand Championship match.
On the package, and why it was handed to Quack… well, I’d say if one man could be trusted to fight to the end for Chikara, it would be Mike Quackenbush. And if the package opened his eyes to the fact that he has failed Chikara by fighting the wrong enemy, he’ll want redemption.
Something that Philip Rosenbaum and I were discussing is that Wrestling is Serious hardly ever gets brought up in the whole :Wrestling Is…” discussions. After perusing their roster page, we came to the conclusion that undefeated fighter and Captain of the SS ITapBoys, Fay Bucanero (who happens to bear a passing resemblance to Mike Quackenbush in pirate costume) would be the one to save Chikara thanks to his obvious fighting prowess. It was also like 2AM when we made this discovery, so cognitive thinking might not have been at its highest.

I followed you to the Wrestling Is Serious! roster page and now I’m not even sure it’s a functional promotion. Their roster lists one wrestler who is the Most Interesting Man in the World from the Dos Equis commercials, another wrestler who is represented by a picture of Sheamus, and the hilariously named/referenced MMA fighter “J’on J’ones” It also says they had a ppv on the 21st at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, which seems a bit beyond the gyms and rec centers the “Wrestling Is…” promotions seem to operate in. Also there is nothing available for Wrestling Is Serious! on Smart Mark Video or SMVOD.
Another “clue” perhaps?

I don’t know how we got a different timeline’s Archie. Maybe it was Eddie Kingston’s backfist. Maybe it was Ultramantis Black. I MEAN WE KNOW HOW HE IS GREAT AND DEVIOUS. Heck, last two times Archibald Peck got backfisted via time travel on a CHIKARA show he was on the card with the Young Bucks fighting for a championship. We know they are BOTH men of low moral fiber.

You guys renewed my love for Chikara. During the last season and the beginning of this one, I was severely confused with everything that was happening. But you crazypants theories make sense.
Even if the beginning of the end isn’t going to happen at the iPPV, something that will change Chikara forever will. The next show, “All you see is mine”, has a devious figure on the poster… and even if it’s something ilogical, I think that’s Archie.
And searching for Weeping Atlas Cedars… well, those things look like the Swamp Monster.

Another thing I just noticed is that in the background of the Never Compromise poster there is a visual reference to the Comedian’s bloody button but it’s clearly a clock with a smiley face and what would appear to be some kind of marking which in keeping with the Watchmen source material would be a blood stain. Perhaps a reference to the death of time as we know it?
Firstly I’d like to say I really enjoy the podcast, particularly the Chikara-centric episodes!
With the connections to the Swamp Monster I have to wonder what Chuck Taylor’s role in all this is. As the Swamp Monster belongs to Mr. Taylor’s Gentlemen’s Club (not to mention that it is Taylor who aided the Swamp Monster in effecting it’s escape from Condor Security as seen in Episode 7 of the Gentlemen’s Club) it stands to reason that Taylor might have a greater hand in things than previously suspected and the effective dissolution of FIST he may be prompted to take more obvious action.
I look forward to having our questions answered only to find the answers raise more questions!
I’ve expanded my theory on how the current Chikara Archie isn’t the 2011 Archie.
Also, the Submission Squad should have won last years king of trios.

Kind of… interesting how you’re coming here and posting links back to your own blog, which contains a few seemingly willful omissions (you claim that Robert and Danielle have never discussed Delirious’s role in all this, when in fact Delirious was among the first topics discussed in the second episode, due to Danielle being at a show a asking him if a question, and he is brought up every time they discuss the Eye of Tyr), meanwhile your own blog, which I have actually enjoyed reading the past couple days, doesn’t even allow comments. What gives, man?

They’ve put tickets on sale now for the first show after Anniversario, but no matches announced yet. We still don’t know what form Chikara’s continuing on in after Sunday, but at least we know they ARE continuing.
LOL. I sent Robert an email detailing what I learned about the identity of the guy running the No Private Army blog. I made a very ill-advised attempt to confirm this person’s identity by calling their real life workplace. Robert hasn’t responded to me and probably (rightly) thinks I’m a creep for going that far for what is at heart, a made-up story without real world implications. Anyway, I’m looking forward to Aniversario more than any wrestling show in my life, except maybe my first big show I ever watched, ‘Mania 14.
I really hope the Chicago shows get posted to Smart Mark VOD before the iPPV.
Of note, i recently saw the promo videos advertising Archie’s debut.. What did they contain references to? A “new world order”…hmm…
How great would it be (read: not at all) if the culprits manipulating time turned out to be that last gasp “silver” nWo from WCW in like 2000. The one with Jeff Jarrett and Bret Hart’s dangerously swollen brain.
Couple of things I’ve noticed.
There is only one follower of the NPA blog, a Mr. Daniel Ranes. From what I’ve been told, Ranes was the one who gave Quack the envelope at Pallas. Though I don’t know exactly what it means, this can’t be a coincidence.
Regarding the Titor Conglomerate, apparently W. Conrad Vavasseur is the Executive Vice President of Acquisitions, which means there is a bigger figurehead. Two of the notable acquisitions are WMD and Rogue Brains. Rogue Brains is the company that was/is working on Rudo Resurrection.
As for Wink, there is a theory that his random teams aren’t so random. He brought in Xtreme Force, which prompted Soldier to quit. He partnered Sugar with FIST, which lead to Sugar quitting (and Gargano, though that could be a side effect). Quack’s gone as well, though the exact reason is unknown. All three are known for being tecnicos (Sugar and Soldier refusing to tolerate their rudo stablemates, Quack fightimg for Chikara), so perhaps Wink saw them as enemies to his company.
It could be something, it could be nothing. But at this point, I can’t believe it’s all a coincidence.
In regards to the The Wrestling Is… promotions and how we think they might be related to Leonard F. Chikarason…have we ever considered that maybe Leonard isnt behind the resistence, but is actually the Ozymandias character? And that whoever is running the Wrestling Is… resistance is trying to tell us something? That it’s been LFC all along?
Tim Donst is trying to tell us that Eddie Kingston’s been acting different since Under the Hood on the latest blog.

Huge realization. When Archie debuted, the build up involved talking about getting The Band back together, which made people think that the New World Order was reuniting. The NPA blog talks a lot about the new world order. Also, according to NPA, the New World Order’s secret weapon is HAARP. Archie wears a harp on his outfit. Archie is either the new world order or is their secret weapon.
